Veterans Memorial
Northeastern students have been involved in almost every United States military action of the twentieth century. Currently, several Northeastern students and alumni are involved in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
To honor those Northeastern students on Veterans’ Day, November 11th, 2006, the University dedicated a Veterans’ Memorial, located at the intersection of Forsyth Street and Centennial Common. Each Northeastern student who was killed while in military service is remembered with an individual stainless steel plaque engraved with detailed information about the individual soldier. The plaques are part of a large wall and will commemorate Northeastern students who have served in all branches of the military.
